About:
Omb is Kei Komatsu's solo project, "oral/method" is omb's first full length album released in 2002. Equally utlizing complex computer progamming and unintentional mistakes, he creates everchanging cute and emotional tracks. Clicks, error noises, sine waves, transformed samples and field recordings intertwine and separate, while minimal electronic phrases provide uplifting melodies. Solid sonic textures and ambient sounds clash beautifully within these poignant electronic pop songs.

In his teens, Kei Komatsu was drawn to early techno and started to produce tracks. After being influenced by more experimental techno, contemporary classical music, and the avant-garde, he shifted to computer based production from his twenties. While studying at engineering school he produced tracks from commercials, and released the "003" and "004" 12 inches on O-Parts Recordings. He submitted music for the compilation "Micro Blue" released by up and coming electronica label Plop. His usage of visuals in his live shows has also gained him a lot of attention. (Flyrec)
